Our client in Kildare seeks an adept facility operative to join their team. The ideal candidate would be flexible and work within all departments of the business, assisting with various types of maintenance work.

The ideal candidate would have a full drivers licence and access to their own transport. An up-to-date safe pass and manual handling would be desirable. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

Location: Naas, Co. Kildare

Hours of work: 06:00am 14:30pm and 14:30pm 11:00pm (Shift)

Hourly Rate : EUR 17.50

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:
•Basic Painting (new equipment, damage to walls etc.)
•Basic plumbing (replacement of taps and accessories, fix leaks etc.)
•Basic joinery (replace doors and door furniture, install shelving, signage and notice boards, replae skirting, kitchen cupboards etc.)
•Basic repairs to office furniture (office and manufacturing chairs)
•Tidying up of cables in office areas
•Replace damaged ceiling tiles and grids
•Replace damaged carpet tiles
•Machine/Equipment Checks
•External & Internal repairs Planned & Reactive Maintenance
•Raise Permits and manage building maintenance contractors
•Re-lamping of light fittings (as required)
•General upkeep of the buildings & ground-works
•Checking Fire systems onsite & filling out weekly logs
•Welding of basic metal parts

Skills / Qualifications/ Experience:

Essential:

  • Must have a full Driving License and own transport.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must possess a dynamic approach to achieving continuous improvement.
  • Customer focused.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to motivate, coach and mentor others.

Desirable :

•Qualified Tradesman
•Computer Literate
•Previous Experience in a similar role
•Up to date Safe Pass & Manual Handling certificate
•Have good general knowledge of all aspects of general building maintenance
•Be flexible with regards to working hours
•Proven ability to follow instructions and to work on own initiative
