Job vacancy Culinary and Innovation Technolgist

Storm Recruitment is currently in search of a Culinary & Innovation Technologist to join our clients team in Naas, Co. Kildare. The C&I Technologist will play a key role in launching approved products through the factories and actively contribute to the development team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of new product concepts, working from customer briefs, blue skies concepts, existing product re-developments, and factory optimization.
• Drive the launch of new product concepts through the approved Stage Gate Process, ensuring each stage is documented and signed off according to procedure.
• Organize product and sample submissions to customers, participating in external and internal presentations to stakeholders and customers.
• Coordinate trials and pre-production trials on new products through the pilot plant and the manufacturing unit.
• Complete and record customer trackers, product costings, sensory analysis trials, competitor benchmarking, and shelf-life analysis trials from an organoleptic and microbiological point of view.
• Complete and sign off finished product specifications in conjunction with QA for all new lines. Design QAS documents and approve all defect standards with the teams.
• Complete 1st production/launch, sign off with the relevant teams and with the customer.
• Conduct post-launch reviews and issue reports to the business teams.
• Collaborate with production and QA in relation to customer codes of practice, process improvements/yields, improving process efficiencies, and cost reduction projects.
• Actively contribute to driving innovation within the company by participating in brainstorming, Synectics sessions, trend analysis forums, and market safaris.
• Assist in all areas of the product development process as necessary.
• Undertake general administration and office duties.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• 3rd level Degree in Food Science/Culinary Science or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of NPD experience.
