BioProbe Diagnostics (BPD), a spin out company from NUI Galway (NUIG) established in 2017, is dedicated to bringing novel Nucleic Acid Diagnostics (NAD) technologies to the environmental and industrial sectors for the detection and identification of microbial contaminants. BPD holds worldwide licenses for these technologies, and has collaborated with NUIG to develop the technology from the lab to the market. The company is comprised of experienced scientists, inventors, and a business manager with a track record of successful product launches. The current focus is on launching the initial NAD product, Bio-Lp-1, which will add new capabilities to Legionella testing.
