Company description
Since 2005, the Irish National Roads Authority (NRA) has been collaborating with the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown (ITB) to investigate the issue of assessing the nighttime visibility (retroreflectivity) of road lines and markers. Thanks to this collaboration, the ITB developed the INFORM technology, which was funded by the NRA Research Fund, Enterprise Ireland (EI), and the Higher Education Authority (HEA). In August 2013, Reflective Measurement Systems acquired the Technology Transfer Licence (TTL) from ITB for the INFORM technology, with the intention of creating a commercial product. The technology they developed as a result is called RetroTek.
