The Aran Islands, Inis Oirr
Inis Oirr (Inisheer) means ‘East Island’ and is the smallest of the three Aran Islands. The size of the Island is about 3 km by 2 km and there are about 300 people living here today. We can’t possibly say enough about this charming place, it is very special and happens to be one of our favourites! This Island truly has something for everyone.
How long is the ferry to Inis Oirr?
It now takes only 15 minutes to get from Doolin to Inis Oirr. Doolin Ferry Co. operates the largest and fastest ferry fleet from Doolin. We sail daily from March to early November direct, at 10:00, 11:00, 13:00, 14:30 (and 17:00pm for overnights and one ways). We sail from Inis Oirr to Doolin at 10:30, 11:30, 14:15 and 16:45 every day.
