We are seeking an experienced Director of Sales and Marketing to join the senior management team of our client, a beautiful 4-star property in Co. Cavan.  The ideal candidate will have experience as Director of Sales and Marketing in a 4 or 5-star property and have excellent team management, leadership and motivation skills along with strong planning, budgeting and forecasting capabilities.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Sales and Marketing will lead the Sales and Marketing team and Reservations team to meet current and future objectives.

Responsibilities include:

• Recruiting, coaching, developing and training the sales and marketing team to realise and achieve departmental goals and budgets
• Designing and implementing the sales and marketing plans and budgets for the hotel
• Seeking and securing new business, building on the brand as well as cementing and maximising on present clientele
• Report writing, regularly reporting to the General Manager, issuing written reports on a monthly basis
• Liaising and co-operating with the hotel management team to communicate and implement the sales and marketing plans throughout each department
• Monitoring and tweaking the marketing plan, tracking return on investment vs KPIs and amending activity to meet budgetary objectives
